 Dear Coaches, Parents and Players,
I am Vincent Verdiramo, General Manager of the Saprissa Soccer Academy, which I created in partnership with Deportivo Saprissa, the 25 time National Champions of Costa Rica. Saprissa Soccer Academy is located on a safe, secure campus-like facility at the Club Los Jaules, San Pedro de Coronado, Costa Rica. The program is dedicated to bringing the very best possible training to the elite level student athlete and offers our participants a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and culture of Costa Rica, high level intensive soccer training, and international exposure to world class soccer players and their coaches.
As a coach and father of two passionate soccer players, I have spent a great deal of time, effort, and money attempting to secure the most effective training for them. I believe that The Saprissa Soccer Academy achieves our goal of providing top level physical training through the participation of Hernan Medford, the Head Coach of the Costa Rican Men National Team, Jeaustin Campos, the Head Coach of Deportivo Saprissa, and four of his coaches, all of whom are soccer legends in Costa Rica, having played on their national teams, and in either Olympic and/or World Cup competitions. Their exceptional soccer knowledge and experience will be shared with players and coaches alike. Speed, agility, plyometrics, strength training, and tactics will be emphasized throughout the sessions. In addition to the training at Los Jaules, games will also be played against the Saprissa youth development teams at Saprissa Stadium, the largest soccer stadium in Costa Rica. The Academy also presents attendees with the optional opportunity to experience total immersion in a Spanish or other language learning program concurrently with Soccer training at an additional cost.
The central location of our facility in Costa Rica will permit supervised tours to fantastic rain forests, beaches, volcanoes and other exciting eco-tourism sites such as zip-cording or whitewater rafting. Other than on excursion days, your team valuable training time is spent doing just that, training, not on buses. Our program is completely flexible and designed to meet the needs of individual teams and their coaches. For example, some teams may wish to forego the language instruction component in favor of more training and/or games. Any desired program can be accommodated and priced accordingly. The website reflects a 7 to 14 day program encompassing soccer training, language immersion and excursions.
I have structured a 7 - 14 day base program at a cost of $1,995.00. This includes training, games, ground transportation, uniforms, housing, all meals and three supervised excursions. The price does not include language instruction or airfare. We will use an aggregator travel firm to coordinate all arrangements in the United States, but groups are free to make their own travel arrangements. Programs of shorter duration can be structured depending on the size of the group. One Coach travels free with each 10 players attending.
